London Eye January 2001

In order to celebrate his 60th birthday, a cycling friend, Geoff Smith took a group of 25 friends on the London Eye.

The London Eye is a 450-foot high ferris wheel providing panoramic views over London - according to the guide book you can see up to 25 miles away. One revolution takes 30 minutes.

Afterwards we went to a pub called the Hole In The Wall, across the road from Waterloo Station, where had a few drinks and Geoff cut his birthday cake. Later Geoff and a few others went on to the 100 Club, Oxford St for some live jazz, and I have still to find out how that went.
