This bike tour took place during the last two weeks of September, and took us through some beautiful Italian scenery and historic hill towns. We rode past olive groves and picked ripe figs from trees. The countryside was often very remote, the terrain involved many long climbs and the weather was generally hot and sunny.
Our accommodation was in hotels, which was a comfortable change after cycle-camping the last few years! The group size was 39, including 16 British riders, 18 from America, 2 from Australia and 3 staff. Total distance cycled, according to my cycle computer was 394 miles.
